Apologize me for this little self-congratulation. This is the result of a week of work, from July 28th to August 9th.
Many drawings and ideas, carte blanche from Berlin enthusiastic staff.
The honor of having created a world trophy which is now in Milwaukee, USA, in the hands of the Beaver Boys.
Thanks Giorgio for ideas and stuff.

Thanks to Jessica, who in addition to medals has made the plate
on the base of the trophy.

2nd World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships Berlin

August 13-15 2010.

Berlin is proud to host the 2nd Annual World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships! This event will bring 64 of the best teams from around the globe for a three-day tournament to be held at the new Berlin venue, the four-court Sportcenter Rennbahnstra??e Berlin-Weissensee! This years’ event is being organized by the same crew that brought you the Bike Polo competition of last years’ 14th Annual European Cycle Messenger Championships at Tempelhof Airport.

Other highlights of this years’ event will be on-site camping and hostelry (including showers), lighted night-time play and attendant night-time tournaments, complimentary breakfasts, and unspeakably low prices for food and beverages at all other times throughout the course of the event. All of this will be included for the reasonable entrance fee of 60 euros per team.

Due to the recent application of 93 teams for 48 spots at this years’ 2nd Annual European Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships in Geneva, local preliminary tournaments will determine the allotment of eligible slots in this years’ WHBPC. We are currently in the process of designing the structure for local preliminaries with the help of polo federations from around the world, an abacus, and sixteen kilograms of Stumptown coffee, courtesy of bearded fellow travellers from the American Northwest.

News about this will be posted shortly, but early data retrieved from the abacus have confirmed that no more than five teams from any one city will be admitted.

HOWEVER, if your team turns out unfortunate enough to have not made the cut in your home city, DO NOT DESPAIR! Casual tournaments will be held Friday and Saturday night to accommodate enthusiasts of all skill levels. You will also be able to register and take advantage of the wealth of hospitality, guilt-free!

So save your money, wax your handlebar moustaches or neglect your shaving, select your wardrobe, and get your asses to Berlin!

3-2-1- POLO!
